These are images from my exhibition in NOLA at the Angela King Gallery. This exhibition took place in 2009 a few years after the devastation of hurricane Katrina. I had the opportunity to tour the city in great detail and was stunned by the sheer square acres of ruin. I contributed my time and energy to a local magnet school. I spent a few days teaching art and the application of art to the students. I also volunteered to paint the first, ( and it seems only….) mural for the Make It Right foundation that Brad Pitt founded after the hurricane. NOLA is a special place, truly like no other in the United States.
