The following images are selections from Mark T Smith’s sketchbooks. The artist is constantly working on new visuals in his sketchbooks. The sketchbook is a place where the artist “woodsheds” out new ideas, reworks his current vocabulary and simply creates reportage drawings of his surroundings. None of the works contained in these books are designed for public consumption, they are part of the artist’s larger creative process.
