This sculpture is an editioned piece created by Mark T Smith and his one of his first sculptures. The process to create this artwork started with a maquette at 100% of the scale of this final editioned piece. This maquette was cast in a foundry and that mold begot the result you see here in this installation. The horse is an icon that the artist works with often. The piece is cast in crushed marble.
